World Famous Mud Run

Our friends, Bill and Evelyn, challenged us to run a 10K in San Diego called the Mud Run. This was the purpose of our trip last weekend. The race was held on Camp Pendleton, a Marine base and as the name states you get muddy. It prides itself on being a challenging obstacle course, but really we didn't climb walls, crawl through mud, run through a pond, or climb the mud hill until the last 1.5 miles. I wasn't too thrilled at first at the thought of getting dirty, but it was a blast. I would do it again (especially with a group of friends). Who's in for 2010?Getting ready
Nice and clean pre-race shot

My shirt was blue and Rob's was white. We still aren't sure how his shoulders stayed clean. They did have a (very cold) shower at the end to clean up before heading home.
