Getting Ready for the Party

Maura is so excited for her Cinderella party. We tell everyone it is her birthday...the regular check-out lady at Safeway, the deli counter attendant, and who ever else we meet. She always tells them she is having a Cinderella party.

To kill some time this evening, we got her cake ready. I can remember the doll cakes I had as a child (actually, I don't remember any other theme Mom prepared for me...maybe strawberries one year??). I jumped at the chance to make Maura a doll cake and have told her it is Cinderella. While I obtained some skills at Baskin Robins, I have lots to learn. Maura loves the cake (thank god she is 3)!!
