It was hot here in Phoenix...at least 108 degrees. Our town celebrated the 4th of July on Friday with a parade for the kids and fireworks. We decided to brave the heat and head out for the parade around 5:30p. The kids were excited at the thought of a "parade", but I think Maura was a little disappointed by the heat. It was a bear.
Lucky for us, some rain clouds came in around 7pm. It didn't rain until after the fireworks, but the clouds blocked us from the sun and the wind was a delight. We couldn't have asked for better night. The girls stayed up for the fireworks which of course they both hated. It was too loud at the park. The highlight was the glowsticks from Greer and the running (at least 100 laps) back and forth in the grass.
